Here's the question I ask: Since we've been eating this type of food for over 50-years, why is it being taken out of our food supply now? Food dyes, sugar, and chemicals are in far-too-many "foods". My advice: Stop eating fast food and limit processed food. In other words, eat real food.
Partially hydrogenated oil (aka trans fat) has been in our food supply for about 40-years. We've known for many years that it is an artery-clogger killer. All of a sudden it's being taken out of our food supply. It should never have been in it to begin with. Check out my site, PartiallyHydrogenated.com for more information. My advice: Look at all ingredients of baked and packaged food. If you see the words partially hydrogenated, put it back on the shelf. It's in seemingly "harmless" items like Nilla Wafers, Ritz Crackers, and much more.
Be assured, many medical and pharmaceutical recommendations are changing. Statins, a widely prescribed medication, is being prescribed far too often. My advice: Become an educated medical care consumer and of course, consult with your doctor. I also recommend reading, Lies, Damn Lies, and Medical Science. And, I recommend viewing this video from one of my health-heroes: Dr. Nortin Hadler.
This just in: While 120/80 is a target to shoot for, meds are not required until the numbers are much higher. My advice: Read the new recommendations.
Highly controversial, but seemingly accurate ... most men die with Prostate Cancer, not because of it and frequently, the side effects of treatment are much worse than than living with contained cancer. My advice: Well, when my doc wanted me to see a Urologist because of an elevated PSA, I declined. It is known not to be a valid test. Again, do the research and be sure to discuss with your primary care physician.
