Less TV = Less Weight and More Energy!

This implies: If you are not watching TV, you will be exercising. TV is not the culprit. Is exercise important? Yes. However, not even exercise assures weight loss. I know many people who exercise and are overweight. In fact, I used to be one of them. Until I understood how to lose weight, nothing worked.

I recommend this concept: Diet drives weight loss and exercise helps maintain it.

Thanks for the comment Ken. Actually my blog was meant to be a personal testimony of what can be done if you replace TV with something more active. The average American adult watches 4.5 hours of TV a day. That's a lot of couch time!

Your right about exercise alone not working for weight loss (only 1% are able to lose weight and keep it off with exercise alone) however, according to the National Weight Loss Registry 89% of those who lose weight and keep it off for at least 5 years use both diet and exercise (90% exercise at least an hour a day!). Also, 62% watch less than 10 hours of TV per week.

These are some of the reasons I wrote the blog. Good luck in your work and make yourself a great day!

Lonnie,

Thanks for the note. And, I'm sure the information in your comment is accurate.

Most likely, people who are committed to exercise, myself included, have made a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. That includes proper eating and a lot of exercise.

As the authors of Younger Next Year state: "Stop eating crap and exercise six days a week."

    That's a Bunch
    of B.S.

For many people, losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle is difficult. Much of the advice is a misdirection and a bunch of B.S.

This blog has been set up to dispel the misinformation and myths that many of us believe. My favorite: Eat Less, Exercise More. There are so many that it's comical. As I see them, I'll dispel 'em!

If you've seen one on the Net, let me know. I will dispel it!
