That's a Bunch of B.S.
This page has been set up to dispel the misinformation and myths that many of us believe. My favorite: Eat Less, Exercise More. There are so many that it's comical. As I see them, I''ll dispel 'em!
Note: The item in italics is the misinformation that I read. The brief explanation is mine. I'm not going to spend a lot of time dispelling each BS item. Cumulatively, there will be a huge pile of BS.

- Less TV = Less Weight and More Energy! - This implies: If you are not watching TV, you will be exercising. TV is not the culprit. Is exercise important? Yes. However, not even exercise insures weight loss. I know many people who exercise and are overweight. In fact, I used to be one of them.
- Is your treadmill lying to you about the calories you burned? - Who cares? Find an exercise that you enjoy and do it. Thirty minutes to an hour per session will do the trick. If you don't weight-train, I recommend you look into it.
- Are Short School Lunch Periods Causing Obesity? - If we tried, and many people are, we could identify hundreds of reasons for obesity. I'm not buying this one.
- Everything in moderation. - I enjoy this one. First: What's moderation? Definition please? By way of example, would you consider having one package of Peanut M&M's per week moderation? If so, that equates to 24,000 calories annually. 24,000 divided my 3,500 (a pound of fat) equals a 7-pounds per year. Now add to that all the other things that you do in moderation. Oops, that's a lot of weight.
