Proof of Concept

Like most people, I enjoy* high calorie, high fat, and high sugar food. I’ve been trained appropriately. It's called the Western Diet.
To test my diet and lifestyle plan, this book was written at many of the fast food locations that Americans frequent. So that I didn't get kicked out for free-loading, I did purchase a cup of coffee.
When I had lunch meetings, I made sure they are held at restaurants that serve high-calorie entrees – pizza palaces, Mexican fiestas, and fast food fiascos.
Here’s where the “rubber meets the road”. I truly enjoying writing and meeting in these food locations because I have no temptation or desire to indulge in their high calorie offerings.
I did not use willpower to accomplish this. I did not feel deprived. No, actually, I feel emboldened and empowered because temptation is all around. However, with a few simple changes, I have been able to bypass the American food dilemma - the Western diet.
So, come join me on this wonderful adventure as we collectively change our attitude toward food and say: “I do not have to eat food laden with fat, salt, and sugar!”
Repeat after me: “I will lose weight!”
Congratulations. You’re on your way.
*That should read . . . enjoyed. I no longer indulge in foods that are high calorie, high fat, and high in sugar content. I have substituted those foods with other wonderful and healthy foods. And, I do not miss them at all.
