There is not one perfect diet/lifestyle. We are all different and each one of us, if so inclined, needs to identify a lifestyle that works. Unfortunately, when people become so biased, they produce videos like this.

I can tell you: I am neither vegan/vegetarian or paleo (low carb), however, I am very healthy. My wish would be that rather than demonize a certain way of life, help people when they ask for it.

Ironically, the two lifestyles mentioned here have a lot in common.

While health care is important for all, this new law is sending our nation down the wrong path. The solution is simple and we've known it for thousands of years. Hippocrates stated: "Let food be thy medicine and let thy medicine be food." And more recently, Dr. Michael Roizen said: "It’s much easier to do prevention than treatment."

Until we change our mindset, our culture, and our addiction to all the wrong foods, no doubt, we will be taking the path to an expensive disease care system. This is very sad because the solution is so simple and now it is bogged down in a massive government boondoggle.

The squat.

I marvel at the ability of my 18-month old grandson (that's not him) to do an amazing squat. Here's the perfect squat ...

Coca-Cola plans to spend $5 billion in India to boost the amount of Coke consumed, which at the moment lags well behind rates in other countries.

Indians drink 12 eight-ounce servings of Coke a year compared with 90 globally and 403 in the U.S. http://on.wsj.com/LBqMZB

When I think of the Olympics and Olympic athletes, the image of incredibly healthy and fit people come to mind. Well, for the London Olympics, McDonald's has built its largest store ever. So, while the world keeps talking about the "obesity epidemic" and our health care crisis, we keep serving-up a whole-lotta junk food.

Take a peek inside this super-sized structure

The only thing that I find McDonald's good for is ... when traveling by car, its bathrooms are typically clean. Other than that, I find no benefit.

I just heard about a proposal to allow advertising on city-owned vehicles. Wow, a match made in heaven. Look at the existing colors ... Pepsi gets to advertise on police cars and Coke on fire engines.

Here's a side benefit: The police can use Pepsi cans as a weapon: Throw 'em at the perpetrator. Not enough water to douse the fire? Extinguish it with a Coke or two.

I enjoy reading and listening to people who are Vegan and Paleo followers. They are very passionate about their lifestyle choice. Each believes the other lifestyle is not a healthy choice. However, in fact, much, certainly not all, of their diet and lifestyle choices are identical.

It is my contention, rather than fight like cats and dogs, how about admitting that most of the health benefits can be found in the common area? Just think how healthy our nation would be if we followed the common area. Our health disease system would be history.

As an aside, I am neither a Vegan or a Paleo follower. However, I live a very happy and healthy lifestyle. The solution? Follow the common area maintenance plan.

It's not meant to be a comedy, but it is funny. Welcome to the Standard American Diet.

Which reminds me of something Steve Jobs said to John Sculley (CEO of PepsiCo):

“Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugar water to children, or do you want a chance to change the world?”

Unfortunately for Jobs, Sculley took the job at Apple and fired Jobs the following year. Of course, Sculley ran the company into the ground and Jobs came back to save it.
